L.L.Bean Roundup!
I don’t know why, but I’ve always felt something pulling me towards Maine. It’s not even like I grew up on the East Coast, yet somehow, I knew Maine meant something to me. Then, in March 2020, when everything was becoming unprecedented, John and I rented a house in Maine…. where we ended up staying for seven months. Those months in Maine gave us a sense of safety and normalcy that we desperately needed and wouldn’t have gotten in New York. We walked; we hiked; we kayaked; and we shopped local to help businesses stay afloat.
As much as I’ve loved living in New York for the past 20 years, I’ve realized that I can no longer live there full-time. Maine showed me that I need the outdoors. I’m happiest when I’m outside, in Maine, in my L.L.Bean! Here are some of my L.L.Bean favorites — and John’s! SPOILER ALERT: I’ll be wearing mine at our new house in Maine!
